Road Less Traveled Photography

Weekend in asotin

Last weekend Jeremy and I took a trip up north to Asotin, WA to see family and  watch our niece show animals in the county fair.  We got on the road a bit early, and were able to stop along the way to photograph some pretty areas.  Jeremy is SO good at stopping when I see something worthy of a photo. :-) Here are just a few scenes from our weekend.

These railroad tracks and abundant yellow mustard greeted us at Culdesac, WA. It was such a magical, peaceful place.

Meet Elsa - the newest furry member of the family.

Love these bleeding hearts - doing what they do best!

I took a lovely walk around town and stumbled upon some beautiful flowers. The dogwoods in this area are in full-swing with their white and pink shades. Some of them almost look like a painting.

We were so proud of our niece, who did very well in the fair! She is talented in so many ways, and we even enjoyed a little piano recital from her one evening. :-) We always love visiting family and never want to leave, but we must get back home to our puppies and jobs!

I noticed this old barn/shed near the fairgrounds and decided that if I were a photographer in the area, this would be one of my go-to locations for photo sessions! ;-) Yes, I'm a little obsessed about old buildings with flakey paint and clinging vines. :-)

I will leave you with a couple photos of "our barn". No, it doesn't exactly belong to us, but Jer and I have stopped to photograph it several times, and so naturally it's "ours". lol
